The New England Center is a hotel, conference center and restaurant located in Durham on Strafford Ave (on the UNH campus). The Hotel New Hampshire, opened in 2005, offers 68 immaculate guest rooms located a short walk from downtown Durham and the conference venue. The Three Chimneys Inn is a newly restored 1649 Mansion and Carriage house is situated on a hill overlooking her formal gardens, the Oyster River, and the Old Mill Falls. Blocks of rooms have been reserved (under the group name "SPD2006") for the conference at both the New England Center and the Hotel New Hampshire.
Note that reservations for the New England Center must be made via phone (800) 590-4334 or email (hotel.reservations@unh.edu). NEC cannot accept on-line reservation requests for this meeting. In addition, although the NEC is technically on-campus, they provide complementary parking adjacent to the hotel site.
In addition to these hotels in Durham, a block of rooms is also being held (also under the group name "SPD2006") at the Comfort Inn of Dover. Located in nearby Dover, 10 minutes from Durham, the Comfort Inn offers "a multitude of options for the adventurous and relaxation seeking visitor." Guests staying at the Comfort Inn will require their own transportation to and from campus.
Participants should be aware that June is a busy season for tourists in New Hampshire. BE SURE TO RESERVE YOUR HOTEL ROOMS PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF DATE.

This applies to both those who will be staying on campus (in University housing) and to those who will be driving to and from campus each day. Participants will be required to park in the UNH visitors lot, which will be served by a shuttle bus service to the conference site. For more information about parking at UNH, visit UNH Transportation Services online. (Both the New England Center and the Hotel New Hampshire provide free parking and are within walking distance of the conference site.)
The registration fee covers the costs of continental breakfast (Mon-Thu), coffee breaks (Mon-Fri) and lunches at Holloway Commons (Mon-Thu). Usually servicing thousands of college students a day, guests will find Holloway calm and spatious in the lull of late June, offering an extensive variety of food options - cafeteria style.
