When staying at UNH, no one should pass up the oppurtunity to experience the beauty that comes with such a prime location as the New Hampshire seacoast. Less than a half an hour away are Portsmouth, Hampton Beach, and many other serene beaches that make up the Granite State's thirteen miles of coast. Ninety minutes north and west will bring you to the White Mountains. Whether your passion is cycling, hiking, camping, fishing, or taking a leisurely afternoon cruise down the Kancamagus Highway the White Moutains are the perfect environment to relax and pursue pleasure.

Portsmouth, NH is sometimes thought of as New Hampshire's best kept secret, and one walk through downtown will convinve you of the same. Walking the streets lined with shops and restaurants for a wide variety of tastes (and budgets!) or maybe a stroll through historic Strawbery Banke are excellent ways to spend an afternoon. The summer marks the return of the Music Hall's summer film series. The small theater has built a strong reputation for its adherence to showcasing independent films. Check their website for showtimes.
